CISA releases updates to Active Shooter Preparedness Program
Recent increases in gun-related violence stress the need for the critical infrastructure community to prepare for an active shooter incident. The Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA) provides a multitude of online resources and webinars that support capacity building efforts to position organizations to more effectively prepare for, mitigate the impacts of, and respond to an incident.

This report, produced by the FBI’s Office of Partner Engagement, encompasses statistical data regarding 333 active shooter incidents in the United States between 2000 and 2019. Each page focuses on a particular active shooter-related topic and has been designed specifically for law enforcement officers, other first responders, corporations, educators, and the general public.
