Security is not just about preserving the sanctity of church service or safeguarding your congregants (which is certainly top of the list). Church security is a mission field just like community outreach, children's ministry, and disaster relief. When you commit to the physical safety of your congregants, they feel secure enough to grow spiritually. They feel comfortable enough to invite a friend. You might feel like a simple camera system and patrol rotation aren't spreading the Word of God, but you'd be surprised how many different roles go into fulfilling the great commission.
