On this 21st anniversary of September 11, we want to take this opportunity to remind everyone to be mindful when attending significant events, public gatherings, school events, houses of worship, and 9/11 events for any potential threats.
The Virginia State Police and Virginia Fusion Center continue monitoring intelligence to identify potential terrorist threats against the Commonwealth. At this time, we are not aware of any credible threats against the Commonwealth, but we would like you to continue to be on alert and report any suspicious activities.
We will never forget those who made the ultimate sacrifice on that tragic day. Today, the Virginia Fusion Center would like to recognize the many heroic first responders, law enforcement officials, and civilians and offer our thoughts and prayers to those who continue to be physically and emotionally impacted by 9/11.
