Cities As Partners In Prevention


The Center for Prevention Programs and Partnerships (CP3), in partnership with the Strong Cities Network and the National League of Cities, will discuss how cities in the state of Illinois have put prevention into practice and how efforts have developed since the 2022 Highland Park attack. Panelists will dive into initiatives to build targeted violence and terrorism prevention programs and community resilience; available resources to their communities; and common goals and challenges that these cities have faced and still face today. 

Join this prevention forum to hear from state and city leaders about how they have sought to prevent targeted violence and terrorism and build resilience. Panelists will discuss Illinois cities as examples of the unique role of cities in targeted violence and terrorism prevention.
