CISA Launches Playbook To Boost AI Cybersecurity Collaboration
To develop the Artificial Intelligence Collaboration playbook, CISA brought together federal, international, and private sector partners through the Joint Cyber Defense Collaborative (JCDC). The JCDC is a public-private partnership that unites the global cyber community in defense of cyberspace.
The AI Cybersecurity Collaboration Playbook is the result of two tabletop exercises conducted in 2024. Results of the exercises, along with feedback from participants were utilized to create the foundation for the playbook, which will be updated as the threat environment changes.
CISA and the FBI released a joint Cybersecurity Advisory in response to the September 2024 exploitation of vulnerabilities in Ivanti Cloud Service Appliances.
Threat actors chained the vulnerabilities to gain initial access, conduct remote code execution, obtain credentials, and implant webshells on victim networks. Network administrators are strongly encouraged to upgrade to the latest supported version of Ivanti CSA, while network defenders are advised to hunt for malicious activity on their networks using the information contained in this advisory.
