There has been a wave of threat calls/emails directed towards Jewish facilities across the nation over the past week. On August 12, over 40 locations received threatening emails. On August 15, at least 57 facilities in at least 12 states received nearly identical bomb threat emails.
Today, over 100 Jewish institutions across Canada received these threats.
While these have been swatting (false) threats, every threat should be taken seriously with all precautions taken.
The VFC will continue to monitor the situation and send out updates and guidance as necessary.
