Secure Community Network: Forming A Security Network
One of the most effective ways to ensure the success of a community-wide safety and security program is to engage the community in a proactive and positive manner. Traditional security programs have often been relegated to individuals who deal with facilities, access control, and infrastructure. However, a communitywide, all-hazards approach that emphasizes the engagement of the community and stresses the criticality of awareness and training can have the greatest impact while also being the most cost-effective and sustainable.
